This is a set of plans to repurpose shipping containers and become into a house. The interior usable area is 27.38 m2 (294.71 ft2); kitchen, laundry, dining and living area is 13.85 m2 (149.08 ft2), bedroom 1 is 4.90 m2 (52.74 ft2), bedroom 2 is 5.30 m2 (57.05 ft2) and bathroom area is 2.64 m2 (28.41 ft2). The kitchen is equipped with power outlets for electric top cooker, hood, refrigerator, wash machine and kitchen appliances. Water and sanitary sink lines are included in design. The bedrooms are thought to locate a full size bed and closet, a TV mounted on the wall is allowable thanks to the wall reinforcements. The bathroom was designed to be waterproof using cement board in all the surrounding walls, the floor is layering with a waterproof membrane. The design counts with a shower tray. All the elements (structural, electric, interior walls, etc.) meet with the IBC code. The intermodal shipping container shall bear an existing data plate as required by ISO 6346 and verified by an approved agency.

Walls:

Exterior:
The trapezium section side wall is constructed with 1.6mm thick fully vertically continuous corrugated steel panels at the intermediate area and 2.0mm thick fully vertically continuous corrugated steel panels at both ends which are butt welded together to form one panel and continuously welded to the side rails and corner posts. All overlapped joints of inside are caulked with chloroprene sealant.
Interior:
The interior walls are constructed with Gypsum board 12.7mm thick, metal stud framing, insulation for climate zone 8. For the bathroom walls, cement board was used with the waterproof underlying and ceramic tiles as a finish.


Roof/Ceiling:

Roof:
The roof panel is constructed with 2.0mm thick die-stamped steel sheets having about 6.0mm upward smooth camber, which are welded together to form one panel and continuously welded to the top side rails and top end rails. All overlapped joints of inside unwelded seams are caulked with chloroprene sealant.
Ceiling:
The ceiling is constructed with Gypsum board 12.7mm thick, metal stud framing, insulation for climate zone 8. For the bathroom ceiling, green gypsum board was used.


Floor:

Subfloor:
The wooden sub-floor to be constructed with 28mm thick 19-ply hardwood plywood boards are laid longitudinally on the transverse members between the steel floor center rail of 4.0mm thick flat bar and the 3.0mm thick pressed angle section steel floor guide rails stitched welded to the bottom side rails. The floorboards are tightly secured to each transverse member by self-tapping screws, and all butt joint areas and peripheries of the floorboards are caulked with sealant.
Floor:
Laminate flooring with breathable foam underlayment. In the bathroom ceramic tiles and waterproof underlayment membrane.
